Arun, a timid accountant in 1970s Bombay, dreams of telling Prabha how he feels, but every bus ride and office encounter leaves him tongue-tied. When the confident Nagesh begins courting her instead, Arun turns to Julius Nagendranath, a self-appointed specialist in romance, for lessons in how to stop fumbling his chance. Amol Palekar and Vidya Sinha carry the shy, everyday push-and-pull at the center, while Ashok Kumar adds a sly comic note to Arun’s crash course in confidence, all unfolding across the offices, sidewalks, and commuter rhythms of a less crowded Bombay.
