A Trip to the Moon
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyFantasySci-Fi15 min
A group of astronomers decides to reach the Moon by the most direct method they can imagine: climbing into a capsule and firing themselves out of a giant cannon. Led by Professor Barbenfouillis, played by Georges Méliès, they land on the lunar surface and set off to inspect this strange new world. What begins as a triumphant expedition turns chaotic when the travelers discover the Moon is inhabited. Driven underground by hostile Selenites, the astronomers scramble to escape, make it back to their capsule, and return to Earth—bringing one of the Moon’s inhabitants back with them.
