Stand by Me
ActionAdventureComedyCrimeDramaFamily89 min
After hearing that a boy their age has been killed near their rural Oregon town, four friends head out along the railroad tracks to find the body for themselves. Wil Wheaton is Gordie, the quiet center of the group, with River Phoenix's Chris acting as his closest ally as Teddy and Vern turn the trek into something louder, rougher, and more uncertain. Set in 1959, the story follows the boys past a junkyard owner, a swamp full of leeches, and the threat of older local hoods, including Kiefer Sutherland's gang leader, as their search starts exposing the lives they each go home to.
