Ray Liotta is Henry Hill, a half-Irish, half-Sicilian Brooklyn kid who grows up idolizing the wiseguys in his neighborhood and gets pulled into New York’s Mafia world. Under the wing of Robert De Niro’s Jimmy Conway and alongside volatile enforcer Tommy DeVito (Joe Pesci), Henry moves from small jobs and hijackings to a life built on money, loyalty, and constant violence. Martin Scorsese tracks Henry from his teenage years in Brooklyn into the 1970s and beyond, with Lorraine Bracco’s Karen bringing the view from inside the family life surrounding the mob.
