A Better Tomorrow
ActionAdventureComedyCrimeDramaThriller95 min
Fresh out of prison, Ho tries to leave Hong Kong’s counterfeit underworld behind and repair things with his younger brother, a new police officer who wants nothing to do with him. Ti Lung is Ho, trying to rebuild a life after betrayal from inside his own gang, while Leslie Cheung’s Kit sees only the damage his brother’s criminal past has left behind. Chow Yun-Fat brings swagger and bruised loyalty to Mark, Ho’s closest friend from the old days, whose bond with him keeps the past close. As Ho reaches for a clean break, old allegiances and triad rivalries keep closing in.
