Joel Edgerton is Charlie, suddenly responsible for a company built on conservative men’s footwear, while Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Lola is a drag performer and cabaret singer with strong ideas about who needs better shoes. Their partnership pulls a traditional workplace into unfamiliar territory, as factory workers, fashion demands, and old expectations collide around a new line of boots.
