Vijay Salgaonkar is a cable TV operator in a small Goan town, a self-taught movie obsessive whose quiet life with his wife Nandini and their two daughters is upended when the family becomes tied to a teenage boy’s disappearance. Ajay Devgn is Vijay, a fourth-grade dropout with a careful mind and a habit of learning from the films he watches, while Tabu’s Meera Deshmukh is the senior police officer driving the investigation for deeply personal reasons. As suspicion closes in, Vijay uses memory, timing, and street-smart planning to keep his family ahead of the law.
