Action in the North Atlantic

DramaWar126 min

In the middle of World War II, two officers in the U.S. Merchant Marine keep cargo ships moving across the North Atlantic, where every crossing can turn into a fight for survival. After enemy attacks and brutal weather take their toll, the men are sent back out on another run, carrying vital supplies through waters watched by German submarines. The story follows the dangerous routine of convoy duty: long stretches at sea, sudden torpedo strikes, damaged ships, and crews forced to keep their mission going under constant threat. Humphrey Bogart and Raymond Massey lead a film focused on the strain, discipline, and risk of serving on the war's supply lines.
