Alex Klein is a bankrupt real-estate executive watching every part of his life go sideways: the market is collapsing, his wife is thriving, his family drives him mad, and even his wealthy clients and know-it-all teenage baristas get under his skin. Anders Matthesen is Alex, meeting one humiliation after another with a mean, abrasive sense of humor, while Søren Rislund and Iben Dorner are part of the ensemble crowding his orbit. As money trouble and a health crisis close in, the film turns Alex’s running irritations into a Danish comedy with a sharp, satirical streak.
