Left behind at a petrol station while his aging football team heads for a match in Sweden, solitary fifty-something Vagn sets off after them with an unlikely companion: a young habitual offender he meets on the road. Kristian Halken gives Vagn a stubborn, slightly adrift center, and Robert Hansen is the volatile counterweight as the chase turns into an improvised road trip across Denmark. Between missed connections, awkward encounters, and small comic disasters, the film follows two men who would probably never choose each other’s company, then keeps finding sharp, sad, and funny complications in the miles between them.
