Scarface

ActionAdventureCrimeDrama170 min

After arriving in Miami during the Mariel boatlift, Cuban refugee Tony Montana (Al Pacino) takes a green card deal that pulls him into the city’s cocaine trade. As Tony stakes his claim, his ambition and brutality drive him from street-level hustling toward the center of a widening drug empire. Steven Bauer is alongside him as a trusted partner, while Michelle Pfeiffer moves through the money, excess and shifting loyalties that surround Tony’s rise. Brian De Palma’s 1983 film is rooted in 1980 Miami, where cartel pressure, police attention and Tony’s own mounting paranoia close in as fast as his power grows.
