Robin Williams is Jack Powell, a 10-year-old born with a rare condition that makes him age four times faster than other children, leaving him with the body of a middle-aged man. After years of homeschooling, Jack enters public school for the first time, determined to make friends, fit in, and take on fifth grade like any other kid. Francis Ford Coppola’s film follows the comedy and awkwardness of that setup, while the harder parts of growing up arrive early for Jack and for the adults around him, including Diane Lane and Jennifer Lopez.
