Shallow Hal
ComedyDramaFantasyRomance114 min
Guided by his father’s dying advice, Hal dates only women he considers physically flawless until a chance encounter with Tony Robbins leaves him hypnotized to see only inner beauty. Jack Black is Hal, a shallow bachelor whose standards are upended when he falls for Rosemary. Gwyneth Paltrow’s Rosemary is confident, funny and kind, but Hal perceives her very differently from everyone else around him. Jason Alexander turns up as Hal’s image-conscious best friend, pushing back as the romance collides with Hal’s old habits and the gap between what he sees and what the rest of the world sees.
