DramaRomance132 min
In early-1990s New York City, a married Black architect begins an affair with a white Italian-American coworker, and what starts as private attraction quickly becomes public conflict. As their relationship deepens, both are pushed from every side: his family, her family, the office, and the neighborhoods they move through all react with anger, suspicion, and judgment. The affair strains his marriage and forces each of them to confront what they are risking, and why. Around them, the city’s racial tensions and everyday pressures keep tightening the space they have to hide or explain themselves. Wesley Snipes and Annabella Sciorra anchor a romance that keeps colliding with family loyalty, social boundaries, and the damage left behind.
