Coma
DramaHorrorMysterySci-FiThriller113 min
At a Boston hospital, surgical resident Dr. Susan Wheeler notices a disturbing pattern: patients with no obvious risk factors are going into comas during routine operations. Geneviève Bujold's Susan keeps digging even as senior doctors dismiss her concerns and pressure her to back off. Michael Douglas is fellow physician Mark Bellows, one of the few allies she can turn to as the questions spread beyond the operating room. Written and directed by Michael Crichton, the film builds its conspiracy out of sterile wards, hospital hierarchy, and the fear that something organized is hiding inside an ordinary medical system.
