The story
In 2089, an invasion turns Venus's colony of Aphrodia into a war zone just as reporter Susan Sommers arrives in the capital. She soon crosses paths with Hiro, a teenage daredevil from a rough-edged motorcycle sport, and with friends who are pushed from street-level competition into the fight against occupying forces. As Aphrodia scrambles to resist Ishtar, Hiro's skill on the mono-cycles becomes part of a larger military gamble. Katsuhide Uekusa and Yûko Mizutani are among the voices in this animated sci-fi drama, where news crews, youth culture, and mechanized combat collide on a colonized Venus.
