After Farmer Hoggett is injured and unable to work, Babe leaves the farm for the big city, where his sheepherding talent might be the Hoggetts’ best chance to keep their home. James Cromwell’s Hoggett is sidelined early, sending Mrs. Hoggett (Magda Szubanski) on the trip with Babe into a far less familiar world of hotels, streets, and a menagerie of animals. Mickey Rooney joins the sequel’s human cast as Babe’s small-town life gives way to a busier, stranger setting, with the little pig trying to help in the only way he knows how.
