The Phantom of the Opera

DramaMusicalRomanceThriller143 min

At the Paris Opera House, a young soprano is singled out by a masked musical genius who lives beneath the building and rules it through fear. Emmy Rossum is Christine, a chorus singer whose rising talent draws the attention of Gerard Butler’s Phantom, a disfigured composer who tutors her voice while tightening his hold over the company around her. As Christine is pulled toward the spotlight and deeper into the Phantom’s obsession, the story moves between ornate stage performances, backstage rivalries, and the shadowed passages under the theater.
