After she’s dumped into a fenced-off desert reserved for society’s castoffs, Suki Waterhouse is Arlen, a young woman trying to survive a wasteland of scavengers, drugs, and hunger. An attack by a cannibal enclave leaves her on the move through the badlands, where Jason Momoa’s Miami Man looms as both threat and connection to a missing girl Arlen becomes determined to return to her father. Between brutal outposts and a strange desert settlement ruled by a charismatic leader, the film folds dystopian exile, romance, and graphic violence into an off-kilter, sun-bleached nightmare.
