The Neon Demon

HorrorThriller118 min

Aspiring model Jesse arrives in Los Angeles with little more than her looks and a cheap motel room, and quickly becomes the object of fixation in the fashion world. Elle Fanning is Jesse, a teenager whose youth and poise unsettle the women around her, while Jena Malone’s Ruby moves through the city’s backstage glamour with her own intense interest. Nicolas Winding Refn frames the industry as a neon-lit maze of photo shoots, parties, and rivalry, where admiration turns possessive and beauty becomes something people will harm each other to keep.
