Corruption
Horror91 min
Peter Cushing is Sir John Rowan, a surgeon who begins killing women after he discovers a way to temporarily repair his girlfriend’s scarred face. With Sue Lloyd as the woman at the center of his obsession, Corruption turns a medical breakthrough into a grisly routine: extracts from the pituitary gland restore her beauty, then wear off, forcing Rowan to hunt again. The film pushes Cushing into much harsher territory than his classic gothic roles, pairing operating-room macabre with seedy late-1960s London noir as Rowan’s secret grows harder to contain.
