The Heist of the Century
ActionAdventureComedyCrimeDramaThriller114 min
In 2006, a group of thieves targets the Banco Río branch in Acassuso and carries out a robbery that becomes one of the most famous in Argentine history. Guillermo Francella and Diego Peretti are among the men behind the scheme in this retelling of the true case, which tracks the setup, the takeover, and the pressure building once the bank is surrounded. As the operation unfolds, the film stays close to the crew’s timing, coordination, and shifting control, mixing the mechanics of a heist with the public spectacle growing around it.
