The Witch

DramaFantasyHorrorMysteryThriller92 min

After leaving their colonial settlement, a devout Puritan family tries to survive on an isolated farm at the edge of the woods in 1630s New England. Anya Taylor-Joy is Thomasin, the teenage daughter caught in a household tightening with suspicion after the family’s newborn vanishes and the harvest fails. Ralph Ineson’s William insists on faith and order, while Katherine (Kate Dickie) and the children begin to fear that something unnatural is moving through the forest — or already inside the home. Robert Eggers builds the story around religious dread, wilderness, and a family turning against itself.
