Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Wilee, a Manhattan bike messenger whose final delivery of the day turns into a citywide chase when the envelope in his bag attracts a corrupt cop. Michael Shannon is the officer on his tail, pushing the pursuit through Midtown traffic, narrow streets, and packed intersections as Wilee tries to stay ahead on a brakeless fixie. The movie stays close to the grind and split-second hazards of riding through New York with cars, cabs, and pedestrians closing in from every side.
