Mrs. Doubtfire

ComedyDramaFamily125 min

After a custody ruling leaves him with only weekly visits, Robin Williams is Daniel Hillard, a gifted voice actor and loving but impulsive dad who comes up with an extreme plan: disguising himself as Mrs. Doubtfire, an older British housekeeper, so he can work inside his ex-wife’s home. Sally Field’s Miranda has had enough of Daniel’s chaos, and his new persona drops him back into the middle of the household he misses. As Daniel juggles makeup, accents, and close calls, the film moves between broad physical comedy and the strain of divorce, parenting, and trying to become the father he wasn’t before.
