Uncle Buck

ComedyDramaFamily100 min

When a family emergency pulls his brother and sister-in-law out of town, Buck Russell is suddenly left in charge of three suburban kids he barely knows. John Candy is Buck, an overgrown bachelor whose giant breakfasts, bad car, and loose rules win over the younger two while colliding hard with teenage niece Tia (Jean Louisa Kelly). As Buck tries to survive school runs and laundry, his freewheeling habits also strain things with girlfriend Chanice, played by Amy Madigan. John Hughes frames the household chaos around a scruffy outsider who looks like the last person anyone would trust with the kids.
