Night after night, a mutilating killer called the Mangler prowls Los Angeles, leaving a TV reporter, a grieving father, and a police detective to piece together what’s behind the attacks. William Devane is the victim’s father, drawn into the search as the murders keep mounting, while Cathy Lee Crosby’s reporter follows the story from the media side. Their investigation moves through crime scenes, police offices, and neon-lit city streets, but only the mysterious psychic DeRenzy seems to know what they’re actually hunting.
