Buster Keaton is Rollo Treadway, a wealthy, impulsive young man who buys an ocean honeymoon before he’s even secured a yes. After his socialite neighbor Betsy O’Brien turns down the proposal, a mix-up leaves both of them aboard the wrong vessel: a deserted steamship drifting at sea. With Kathryn McGuire’s Betsy equally stranded, the story follows the pair as they try to navigate an empty ship built for a full crew, improvising around its scale, machinery, and isolation. What begins as a botched romance quickly becomes a shipboard survival comedy on the open water.
