Steamboat Bill, Jr.

ActionAdventureComedyDramaFamilyRomance70 min

A just-out-of-college young man arrives in a Mississippi river town to meet the father he hasn’t seen since childhood, only to land in the middle of a steamboat feud. Buster Keaton is the awkward son, overdressed and out of step with the riverfront, while Ernest Torrence’s Steamboat Bill runs the battered Stonewall Jackson against a richer operator’s gleaming rival boat. Their reunion keeps colliding with business trouble, jailhouse mix-ups, and the kind of precisely timed silent-film chaos Keaton built his name on.
