Zoey Deutch is Danni Sanders, an aspiring writer so hungry for followers that she stages an Instagram-perfect trip to Paris. When an attack hits the city while she’s supposedly there, Danni lets the lie stand and suddenly finds herself treated like a survivor, pulled into the orbit of Rowan (Mia Isaac), a young activist with an audience of her own. Dylan O’Brien shows up as Colin, the co-worker Danni has been trying to impress, as her online persona starts to overtake her actual life. The fallout ties internet fame, public trauma, and self-invention into one escalating deception.
