La Jetée
DramaRomanceSci-Fi29 min
After a world war leaves Paris devastated, a man is chosen for time-travel experiments because of a childhood memory he cannot shake: a woman’s face at an airport. As scientists send him into the past in search of a solution for a post-apocalyptic society, the remembered encounter takes shape around Hélène Chatelain, with Jean Négroni at the story’s center. Shot in black and white and constructed almost entirely from still photographs, La Jetée links memory, desire, and catastrophe through one man’s fixation on a single image.
