One plot of land in New Jersey becomes the fixed point for a story that spans generations, from open wilderness to a lived-in family home where love, loss, struggle, and hope repeat in new forms. Robert Zemeckis tells it from a single vantage point, with different moments in time sharing the frame. Tom Hanks and Robin Wright are at the center of one of the house’s key family stories, as the film moves back and forth across decades to trace how memory, change, and legacy gather in the same place.
