All the Way
Drama132 min
Lyndon B. Johnson takes office in the stunned hours after JFK’s assassination and spends his first year trying to turn sudden power into lasting legislation. Bryan Cranston is LBJ, working the Senate, facing pressure inside his own party, and pushing to pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act while preparing for a campaign of his own. Anthony Mackie’s Martin Luther King Jr. presses from outside the White House, while Melissa Leo brings Lady Bird Johnson into the center of the political strain at home. Framed by the racial conflict and dealmaking of 1960s Washington, the film follows the months between Johnson’s swearing-in and the 1964 election.
