The Double Life of Véronique

DramaFantasyMysteryRomance98 min

Two women who have never met seem to share the same face, the same musical gift, and a bond neither can explain. Irène Jacob is both Weronika, a young singer in Poland, and Véronique, a music teacher in France whose life begins to echo that of her double in strange, intimate ways. As Véronique drifts toward an unusual romance with Alexandre, a puppeteer played by Philippe Volter, Krzysztof Kieslowski traces their parallel lives through performance, intuition, and moments that feel just slightly out of reach.
