After the destruction of the Shaolin Temple, disciple Hung Hsi-Kuan devotes years to mastering Tiger style kung fu so he can face Pai Mei, the martial arts master who killed his teacher. Chia-Hui Liu is Hung, training with a single purpose, while Lo Lieh’s Pai Mei looms over the story as the opponent he’s building toward. Lily Li appears as Hung’s wife, a Crane style specialist who doubts that one form alone will be enough. The film’s martial-arts drama is built around discipline, vengeance, and the tension between Tiger and Crane styles.
