After his teacher is killed, a martial-arts student sets out for revenge, training in the iron fist and death grip techniques that might let him face the men responsible. Jimmy Wang Yu is the fighter at the center of it, carrying the story through hard training and a series of escalating confrontations. Hsin Tang appears alongside him as the film pushes toward showdown after showdown, mixing hand-to-hand combat with the heightened style of early-1970s Chinese martial-arts cinema. The focus stays tight on vengeance, discipline, and what this one-armed boxer can turn his body into after loss.
