A Boy Who Wished to Be Okuda Tamio and a Girl Who Drove All Men Crazy

ComedyDramaRomance100 min

Koroki is a 35-year-old editor at the lifestyle magazine Mare who models himself on singer-songwriter Tamio Okuda, hoping that if he copies the musician’s laid-back style, life might fall into place. Then he meets Akari Amami, a mischievous fashion press writer, and falls for her on sight. With Satoshi Tsumabuki and Kiko Mizuhara at the center, the film follows a grown man’s attempt to live by a pop-culture ideal as a workplace crush pulls him somewhere less controlled. Comedy, romance, and everyday awkwardness run through Koroki’s effort to become the version of himself he thinks he should be.
