O Fantasma
Drama87 min
By day, Sérgio works as a trash collector in Lisbon; by night, he roams the city in search of rough, anonymous sex. After a chance encounter with a young man who seems to match his private fantasies, desire gives way to fixation and pulls him further from the few people in his orbit, including a coworker. Ricardo Meneses anchors Sérgio’s isolating routines, with André Barbosa and Eurico Vieira among the faces around him. Streets, alleys, work yards, and back rooms give the film a physical, nocturnal Lisbon backdrop.
