A wrong number pulls Oregon family man Tom Meade into a mess of movie-star secrecy when he accidentally calls Didi, a European actress hiding out in a hotel to escape Hollywood’s bombshell image. Bob Hope is Tom, whose casual offer of a backwoods cabin turns into a full-blown cover-up once Didi takes him up on it. With help from his housekeeper and while trying to stay ahead of his suspicious wife, Tom scrambles to keep Elke Sommer’s runaway star out of sight of the public and anyone from Hollywood who might track her down.
