After a mission to Mars, astronaut Patrick Ross returns to Earth infected by an alien organism and driven to reproduce, leaving dead women and half-alien offspring in his wake. Marg Helgenberger is scientist Laura Baker, who teams with a hired assassin to stop him before the body count climbs higher. Natasha Henstridge's Eve, a more tempered alien clone, is brought in as bait and tracker, turning the hunt into a race between laboratory control and a fast-growing threat. The story moves from quarantine rooms and government labs to a widening trail of transformations and killings.
