After a SETI transmission provides instructions for combining alien and human DNA, a lab-grown hybrid escapes into Los Angeles as Sil, a fast-growing being who can shift from a striking young woman into an armored killer. Natasha Henstridge is Sil, moving through bars, hotels, and city streets while following one instinct: find a mate. Ben Kingsley and Marg Helgenberger are part of the team sent to track her down before she can reproduce, with Alfred Molina and Forest Whitaker among the experts pulled into the hunt. Roger Donaldson’s film mixes government-lab sci-fi with body horror, pursuit thriller beats, and H.R. Giger creature design.
