Charlize Theron is a recently divorced writer who heads back to her small-town Minnesota hometown, convinced she can pick up where she left off with an old high school boyfriend. The problem is that he’s married, has a new baby, and has moved on with his life. As she settles back into familiar bars, old routines, and teenage ideas of herself, the reunion she imagines starts rubbing against the life that’s actually there. Patrick Wilson is the former flame at the center of her fixation, with Patton Oswalt in the orbit of her return.
