On a New England island in the summer of 1965, 12-year-olds Sam and Suzy make a secret pact and run away into the wilderness, turning a quiet community into a search party. Jared Gilman’s orphaned scout Sam pairs with Kara Hayward’s Suzy, while Bruce Willis is Captain Sharp, the local policeman trying to track them down, and Edward Norton’s Scout Master Ward rallies the Khaki Scouts. As adults, scouts, and family members comb the island, Wes Anderson places first love, camp rituals, and small-town authority under the shadow of an offshore storm.
