The Snow Woman

FantasyHorrorRomance80 min

Caught in a mountain lodge during a snowstorm, two sculptors encounter a female spirit who kills one man and spares the other on one condition: he must never speak of what happened. Shiho Fujimura is the snow woman herself, and Akira Ishihama's young survivor carries the burden of that promise into the rest of the story. Expanding the yuki-onna legend into a tale of desire, secrecy, and the supernatural, the film moves through drifting snow, rural interiors, and the uneasy pull between ordinary life and an otherworldly visitor.
