A Colt Is My Passport

ActionAdventureCrimeDrama84 min

A gang lord hires Kamimura to kill a rival boss who's gotten greedy, pulling the hit man into a standoff between rival gangs. Jô Shishido is Kamimura, all narrowed focus and cool reserve, with Jerry Fujio in a supporting role as the assignment stops looking like a clean one. Made in Japan in 1967, the film moves through the criminal underworld with stripped-down plotting, tense pauses, and sudden gunfire, centering on what happens after a contract killing sets off competing interests on every side.
