In London’s Soho, Richard Widmark is Harry Fabian, a small-time hustler forever chasing the next angle and forever short on cash. When one more scheme sends him back to Gene Tierney’s Mary for money, their frayed relationship is pushed even further as Harry spots a chance to break into the city’s wrestling racket. What looks like a simple score pulls him into a world of promoters, club owners, and fixers who all have their own claims and grudges. Harry keeps moving through back rooms, nightclubs, and all-night streets, trying to stay one step ahead of the trouble he keeps making for himself.
