Three sisters move through a web of strained relationships, private fixations, and small humiliations that keep colliding with family life. Around them, their parents, neighbors, and lovers chase connection, approval, and desire, often in ways that turn neediness into cruelty. As one sibling stumbles through romance and another tries to hold together a polished surface, the people around them reveal impulses they would rather keep hidden. The story keeps shifting between households and conversations, showing how loneliness, resentment, and fantasy seep into ordinary routines. Written and directed by Todd Solondz, the film follows this ensemble with a deadpan eye, with Dylan Baker and Jane Adams among the lives that intersect.
