The burglars — Burnham (Forest Whitaker), Raoul (Dwight Yoakam), and Junior (Jared Leto) — turn the room built as a refuge into the center of a cat-and-mouse standoff. David Fincher keeps the story pinned to the townhouse, its hidden passages and surveillance lines, and the problem of being safest in the one place the intruders need to reach.
