An Officer and a Spy
DramaThriller132 min
After Captain Alfred Dreyfus (Louis Garrel) is publicly stripped of rank and sent to Devil’s Island for treason, Jean Dujardin is Georges Picquart, the officer promoted to run the intelligence unit that condemned him. In Belle Époque France, Picquart finds that secrets are still reaching Germany, and his inquiry pulls him deeper into military secrecy, antisemitism, and a widening cover-up inside the French Army. Built around the Dreyfus affair, the film follows the case from inside the barracks, courtrooms, and offices where reputations are protected and evidence is controlled.
