Valkyrie

DocumentaryDramaThrillerWar121 min

In 1944 Nazi Germany, wounded army officer Claus von Stauffenberg returns from the front convinced that Hitler must be stopped from within. As the war turns against Germany, he joins a circle of senior officers who are no longer willing to wait for collapse and begin reshaping Operation Valkyrie, an emergency military plan, into the backbone of a coup. The plot depends on strict timing, forged authority, and officers across Berlin acting before anyone realizes what has happened. Tom Cruise leads the conspiracy as Stauffenberg, with Kenneth Branagh among the officers risking their lives as suspicion tightens and a single failed step could bring the entire plan down.
